Our clearly defined progression pathway starts from your ASYE year and will see you develop from an experienced social worker to a senior practitioner. You’ll then decide whether you want to progress to be an advanced practitioner specialist, or pursue your next role as a manager. Either way, our pathway can take you all the way to head of service. Underpinning each stage are functional activities linked to the job, core and mandatory training and academic modules.
We also encourage our experienced social workers to be actively involved in the development of students. As well as being a mentor to students, you’ll have the opportunity to teach at our partner universities, as well developing core modules.
